Eight areas of imaging engineering we have already taken into production. Use one, change one, or take a piece of one into a design of your own.
A custom project is not built from scratch. It is built from techniques that have already been made to work, combined in a new way. These are the ones we hold in-house.
This is not a list you choose from. It is the set of things we can do today, and the starting point for what we work out with you. If what you need sits between two of them, or outside all eight, that is usually where the interesting projects begin.

The board is where the image is made. Ours run a 4K AI image signal processor on a combined NPU and VPU architecture, so noise reduction, wide dynamic range and multispectral fusion happen on the device rather than on a host computer. Resolution, sensor interface, video output and board outline are all open to change.
In production — ECM-4K-ICG, ECM-4K-W, ECM-4K-F-ICG, ECM-2K-W

Near-infrared fluorescence with ICG shows perfusion and structures that white light does not separate clearly. We combine the fluorescence and white-light signals at pixel level instead of laying one image over the other, and the alignment is calibrated automatically so it holds through assembly variation and over time.
In production — EFM-ICG light source module, ECM-4K-ICG imaging board

When the access path sets the limit, the sensor has to shrink with it. We build imaging modules around the smallest sensor formats available, including chip-on-tip assemblies, with the illumination path designed into the same package. Diameter, tip geometry and cable exit follow the procedure.

Much of what a surgeon needs to see is not in the raw image. We write the algorithms that bring it out: multispectral fusion, wide dynamic range, noise suppression at low light, fluorescence stability, and image orientation control. Algorithms you already own can run on the same platform.

Objectives, relay systems and illumination paths designed to the specification rather than selected from a catalogue. Most of the image quality is decided here, and miniature designs usually fail here first.

White light, near-infrared, or both from one unit. We set the wavelengths, the coupling and the thermal path so the output stays even at small diameters and stable through a long case.
In production — EFM-ICG, EFM-W

Structure, handle form, button layout, cable exit and enclosure design language. A head that balances in the hand and seals for reprocessing is an engineering problem before it is an appearance one.
In production — 4K fluorescence camera head, 4K camera head, each as body and cable set

Touch consoles and all-in-one units built around the same boards, with video output, communication protocols and EMC behaviour worked out for the operating room. Open interfaces leave the device able to join the workflow that is already there.
In production — 8-inch and 6-inch camera consoles, 8-inch light source console, Mini 2-in-1, 18.5-inch and 23.8-inch all-in-one units
The modules below are qualified, in production and shipping to customers. They can be carried into a new project as it is, changed in size, interface, algorithm and appearance, or used as the reference for something new.

ECM-4K-ICG 4K fluorescence board, ECM-4K-W 4K camera board, ECM-4K-F-ICG 4K full-port board, ECM-2K-W 2K camera board.

4K fluorescence system head and 4K camera system head, each available as body and cable set.

EFM-ICG fluorescence light source module and EFM-W white light module.

8-inch and 6-inch touch camera consoles, 8-inch touch light source console, Mini 2-in-1, 18.5-inch and 23.8-inch all-in-one units.
Starting from a qualified module shortens a launch programme by years in some cases, and removes most of the technical risk with it.
A qualified module goes into your product with your branding and enclosure. The fastest route to market.
A new size, interface, algorithm or appearance on a platform that already works.
One capability taken out on its own and built into a design of yours.
How an OEM project runs from first conversation to volume delivery is set out on the OEM & ODM Solutions page.
Tell us which of these is closest to what you need, or describe something none of them covers. Under a signed non-disclosure agreement we will assess it properly and tell you honestly what is possible and what it costs.
