Why a teaching base sits inside a company
The university’s reasoning is practical: students need to see how a real product comes into being. In endoscopic imaging, much of the engineering is hard to learn in a classroom — how optical tolerances land in actual assembly, how the imaging chain stays stable in low light, and which steps a hardware design passes through between drawing and registration testing. These are the day-to-day subjects of our engineering team.

What students do here
The base is not a showroom. Students who come to NopOpto work: they take part in module assembly and debugging, keep test records alongside our engineers, and report progress in real project meetings. The engineers who lead the teaching are the same people who develop and manufacture the products, and they explain the trade-offs behind design decisions — why a structure yields to manufacturability, and how a performance figure is tied to a real test condition. The gap between classroom theory and industry practice is filled at the workbench, not on a slide.

Joint research directions
On top of teaching, we are working with the university on joint technical exploration in endoscopic optical sensors, image processing and embedded systems, cultivating engineers who combine theoretical grounding with hands-on capability in medical optoelectronics.

What it means for our customers
Products are made by engineers, and engineers grow on real projects and real production lines — growth that can be observed and verified. For the university, the base strengthens talent cultivation. For us, it forces the team to re-examine the engineering logic we take for granted, which is its own kind of progress. Teaching and learning reinforce each other here, and that is written into how we build products.

If you would like to know more about the imaging modules built on this production floor, or about an OEM/ODM project of your own, the AelisMed team is one message away.

What it means for AelisMed customers
A teaching base is a signal about how a factory runs. The same cleanroom, the same assembly and test discipline, and the same engineers who teach the trade-offs are the ones who build every module that leaves the line — including the ones carrying a customer’s brand. For OEM and ODM partners, the practical meaning is continuity: engineering knowledge is being refreshed and localised rather than retired, and the quality culture that registration-grade manufacturing requires is part of the daily routine, not an audit-week performance.
